I do believe that everyone can learn to heal. We are all self-healers.

Our bodies naturally heal. If we have a cut or a scratch, left alone, it will heal without us having to do anything to it. Our physical bodies are a magnificent work of art that operates without us even being aware of all the functions that are going on every second.

When we send healing to another person, it is very similar to harnessing our own self-healing quality. There is not a lot that we actually have to ‘do’.

Being a healing presence is the first step. Being as healthy, self-aware, positive, with a clear mind-set and harmonious emotional state means being available to a person who asks us for help.

Knowing that any person who spends time in our company will leave feeling better simply because of our own personal states.

This is the first step of learning to heal.

This week on TV I just happened to watched the Oprah Winfrey show about a man called John of God in Brazil, who performs unexplained meta-physical surgery. I had heard of him years ago, however in that time he has also been visited by highly qualified surgeons and psychiatrist who are unable to provide and logical explanation how and why his methods of healing work. Even some of the most ardent sceptics have become believers in some higher power being involved. Here are just a couple of web article about this man including excerpts from the O Show.

One must wonder does faith have any influence on the outcome or is it just mind over matter, about which we still lack any appreciable understanding of. Like one doctor who was both a witness and a patient said to the effect, that it seems our physical body is just a metaphor for an energy which is our spiritual existence.

I agree. I also find that when I work with others it also helps heal myself. I also tend to find people who are struggling with similar issues as I am and emotionally; when I help them I inadvertently help myself also.
I have had problems directly working on myself though. Say muscle pain or some such physical malady.
